Pagosa Springs Colorado

Pagosa Springs was names after the Ute word “Pagosah” meaning healing waters. The town is known primarily for the incredible hot springs in the area but there is much more than that. The San Juan river runs through town providing fishing and recreation. Access to the Weminuche Wilderness Area is to the east and north only minutes from town.

Fly Fishing on the San Juan

The San Juan starts high above Pagosa in the pristine San Juan Mountains. The fishing around town is outstanding. Several outfitters are in the area who provide guided fishing trips.

Pagosa Hot Springs Resort

Pagosa Hot Springs is proud to have the deepest geothermal hot spring. In all there are over 20 pools all at varying temperatures in a relaxing, intimate setting. They are open to the public year-round.

Horseback Riding
